“I want people to know they can

make a difference,

no matter their circumstances.”

– Izzy Martin

Meet Izzy

Isabelle (Izzy) Grace Martin lived a full, vibrant, beautifully chaotic life, and used it for good. Even before her diagnosis, Izzy was driven to help those in need. She constantly asked questions about the homeless in her community, questioning the fairness of their situation and how she (and by extension, her family) could help. Her faith informed her sense of justice—driving her to constantly strive for more. It wasn’t enough to donate one pair of shoes to a clothing drive. She had to donate four.

Izzy’s Adventures

Within weeks of placing in the top 12 in Youth America Grand Prix, one of the premier ballet competitions in the world, Izzy injured her upper leg while practicing her solo. Hours later she received the diagnosis that would define the rest of her life.

Izzy’s Legacy

Izzy spent the last two years of her young life advocating for children with cancer and their families. When she learned how underfunded childhood pediatric cancer research is, she set out as if she were going to rectify the situation all by herself. Her drive and persistence helped raise more than half a million dollars in the last months of her life. Likewise, when she observed that other children in the cancer ward always didn’t have the same support system that she was fortunate to have, she decided to do everything she could to help those families in need. Her legacy continues with the Team Izzy Foundation.
